About NEET 2018-19
NEET is held by the Central Board of higher secondary education every year on the first Sunday of May. All medical (MBBS/BDS) colleges that don't conduct their own entrance exams, accept NEET for their admission process. It is held for the All India Quota seats (15%) in all Medical/Dental colleges across India under Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India with approval of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Only colleges like AIIMS and JIPMER, which conduct their own entrance tests, don't accept admissions through NEET.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2018-19
The following are the eligibility criteria for NEET 2018-19:
- Lower Age Limit is 17 years as of 31st December 2018-19 and Upper Limit is 25 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC)
- Candidate should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English individually
- Minimum 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) aggregate in PCB
- For UR-PH it is 45% (40% for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH)
- Students with 10+2 from open schools or as private candidates are allowed this year but the final hearing of the court on this decision is yet to be held in April and their eligibility can be eliminated

Admit Card for NEET 2019
The admit cards are available on official website of NEET Exam. CBSE allows the applicants to download their NEET UG 2018 Admit Card along with a format for affixing of Postcard Size Photograph. The admit card would not be sent by post to the candidates. While downloading admit card, a copy of same will be sent to the registered email id of the candidate.

- It is an offline (pen and paper based) exam with a total of 720 marks
- There are sections of 45 questions of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany
- Each right answer gives 4 marks
- Each wrong answer has negative 1 mark
- The question paper can be attempted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu
Selection Process for NEET 2019
- Students above the cut-off marks qualify the exam
- Depending on the score and the preference list filled by the student, the college is allocated to the student
Last Year Toppers
Navdeep Singh with a score of 697 out of 720 topped the NEET exam in the year 2018.
Archit Gupta and Manish Mulchandani with 99.99 percentile score came in second.
